I am going against the hype train that every Youtube movie reviewer is going, and say that the sequel of Villanue Dune is barely better than the first movie, it added the more minimanlistic of plots and continue to the trends that make bad the last movie, the lack of world building and context, at least they added Irulan narration this time, but they stumble, and make her a full Bene Gesserit when she barely was beginning her training in Dune, completing her training and not even hiding it in Children of Dune.

Sure the movie is a visual spectacle, but still have no substance whatsoever, the conflict is barely there, at least between the Space Guild, the Bene Gesserit, Shaddam, Irulan, all what matters is the war between the Artreides and the Harkonnen, but totally lack nuances, the Artreides weren't leading the Fremen because the goodness of their hearts, Jessica was for survival and Paul for revenge at first, to then when he began to believe the prophecies of the Fremen, that shouldn't happen in this movie, because Jessica already inform him that the Bene Gesserit implanted the messiah prophecy in the Fremen culture.

And let not speak that the movie totally break the plot, when the Bene Gesserit goes all their centuries of eugenic planning, suggesting that Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen could be a replacement for Paul, even that Feyd mother was a Bene Gesserit, she wasn't part of the creation of their perfect being, Hasimir Fenring could be a better candidate, because he was an actual failed attempt and because of that the Bene Gesserit make him a genetic eunuch, that is really stupid and ridiculous, they added 20% more of world building to this movie, that is an improvement, but the movie tries to hard to awe with the special effects, but lacks on any plot or intrigue whatsoever, and the intrigue that there is very stupid or contradicts the establish lore, and not against changing some problematic aspect of Dune like the stupid Pocahontas Love Story, but the rest is just contradictory and stupid.

And the Youtubers that I have seen praising this movie to the high heavens, sure, they not need to be super fans of Dune, but at least they should have some standards, not be in awe of the special effects, when the story is nearly non existent, they added more world building, but that is barely any, it seems that they hear the critics of the first one, but they barely did any job to improve, but it seems that you cant improve what already broken, they should done this in the first movie, not the second, and I am really disappointing, but not that already expected this, luckily, some reviewers really not want nothing to do with Villanue Dune, by saying that is "boring", in certain way it is, because Villanue at difference from his previous movies really try very hard not to engage with the political intrigue of the books and all the players, even Blade Runner 2049 have more world building and context than this movie.

If you are a Dune fan, watch the 2000' miniseries and Children of Dune or watch Lynch Dune, and the fan cut that in Youtube, this movie is not worth your time or investment, is nine minutes longer than the original, but those nine minutes really not worth your time.

The critiques seems to love Oppenheimer, but to me is another cheap biopic that try to bury the dirty laundry of the U. S., like many movies their type, like the motto says: "In U. S. movies soldiers only feel sad when they kill other people", but ignore the thousand or millions of people that their occupation or war caused, and Oppenheimer is basically is the same, is all about how sad Oppenheimer felt when he built the bomb but not the horrible consequences that it had, like the bombardment of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, something that the movies pass over, for the melodrama about Oppenheimer alleged "Communist" ties, even that in reality his brother was more a true communist than Oppenheimer ever was.

Hell, Nolan himself dodged the question of Hiroshima and Nagasaki when he was interview about this movie, he not want to get his hand dirty and show the consequences of the bombs, the billions of people that they killed, to me the movie is nothing more than a melodramatic shallow spectacle, but is the sad state of biopics, they not try to portray the true about the person, but a overly sappy dramatisation of their lives, and move far away of their controversies or their real ideologies, not matter how awful they were and Nolan is not different from other directors that did biopics, instead of showing the dirty laundry of the U. S. and the consequences of Oppenheimer creation, he dodged by the dramatisation of Oppenheimer later life in the hearings with Joseph McCarthy, and his witch hunt.

The nuclear bomb is nothing more than a spectacle that you have to see in IMAX, because there is no large screen enough to see the devastation that it caused, and Nolan really not really want to speak about the consequences of the creation of such weapons, what the U. S. did with them, maybe we should question if Nolan is really the "genius" that everyone think he is, or he being overly pretentiousness meanwhile trying not to get his hands dirty, because not speaking about the consequences of the creation of the nuclear bombs, put you on the side of the pro-nuclear bomb and U. S. side, and you are doing basically propaganda for them.

I wouldn't be surprise if the Department of Defence had revised the script and erase the uncomfortable part it, till this day, the U. S. never acknowledge all the lives that they took when the bombs fell, never, and never pay reparations, they want to call themselves the heroes of WWII, even that were the Russian that invaded Berlin and took the capital, and ignore this stain in their history, Oppenheimer is no difference from other biopics that come out in the last decade, never forget about that, not matter how critics are in love of this movie, this movie try to erase a important part of the creation of the nuclear bombs, and all the lives that destroy, by making Oppenheimer being sad and latter being mark as communist, as a red, because nothing more scary to the U. S. than the "Reds", they are more scary than the consequences of their own actions.

There is a Youtuber called The Gold Man that it seems that not seems to understand the basic of politics, maybe because he is a Original Star Wars fan, sure, he want to extend a olive branch to the Prequels fans and want to "critic" the prequels, but when you can understand the most obvious and self explanatory plot of Attack of the Clones you are really losing me there, the plot of the Attack of the Clones is not that complicated, is basically the plot of the Phantom Menace but extended for the whole galaxy, corporations want more privileges and tax cuts, and Dooku use it to manipulate them to create a droid army, meanwhile with the help of Sidious he created a Clone Army.

But The Gold Man use the excuse that Lucas needed more time to his plan to work, to be well executed, it seems that even after twenty years, and the fall of the Original Star Wars fans of the Fandom there is nothing that you can say or do to satisfied them, sure, they can understand the most basic plot, like in the Originals, but the plot of the Prequels, it seems that short circuit their brains and fry their brain, because they are unable to do think something more complicated than the simplistic plot of the Originals.

And we all known, how the Original Star Wars fans held them in a pedestal, even that no one cares about their opinions anymore, so when they review the Prequels they use the same condescending tone, like they are unable to understand something that for the most average viewer is clear as day, I really got tired of the condescending tone, if you not like the Prequels, not pretend that you do, and try to extend a hand to use, meanwhile insult us behind our backs, you think us being stupid, no, if you not understand the subtle plot points of the Prequels, maybe you shouldn't be a critic at all.

And please, not try to extend a olive branch when you are insulting us and treating us like we are stupid, because the plot is to complicated, I not understand why this war started, the romance between Anakin and Padme is bad, maybe because that was the point, their ideologies are opposites from the beginning and they aren't being honest with one another, The Gold Man cant understand the subtle things like that, not that Lucas was being subtle, Anakin basically believes in the King Philosopher, that is basically a dictator, meanwhile Padme is a firm believer of democracy, their ideology clash from the beginning, but Padme ignored all the red flags because she really wanted a family outside her duties. There, isn't so hard, maybe if The Gold Man actually pay attention to the movies, he would understand the plots and the fact that Anakin and Padme "romance" was doomed to fail from the beginning.

Now I am seeing a trend in the last six months, that every time that a new superhero movie fails or a Star Wars movie fails, they rush to blame it on fatigue, not that actually they not have any good original story to tell or the shady dealings that they did, putting money under the table, like the infamous deals that the MCU did with the Pentagon, to do military propaganda for them, making the twenty something movies from the MCU nothing more than military propaganda, and then they have the audacity on blaming on fatigue when the public catch on, in case of the DCU or Star Wars is more the case that most of their movies or TV Shows hadn't been particularly good or boring, even if they have a compelling message.

In case of Star Wars, you cant make a political commentary if fall of the rails by the fourth episode and everyone stop watching it because how boring it is, and most of the fans now ignore Disney Star Wars like the plague, and the most recent DCU movie the Flash, that basically wanted to recreate Spiderman Far From Home and cash in the stupid nostalgia, you cant trick people twice and expect the same result, I particularly didn't like Far From Home, apart from the blatant nostalgia bait, is more they added insult to injury when they made me remember that they had the change to do something original and not kill Gwen Stacy, but they kill her anyway, and the idea that The Amazing Spiderman Peter saving MJ was something meaningful, it was more an insult, something that they could had done in the sequel, but they did in this nostalgia bait movie, because who dare to kill the precious MJ, even if she and Peter aren't even in a relationship anymore in the comics.

And the Flash movie is pretty obvious, if I wanted to watch Batman 1989 and Batman Returns, I would watch this movies, I not need another movie to remind me of those movies, the addition of Kara was good, shame that they really didn't have nothing to her to do, other to be a plot device to Barry save over, and over, and over again, apart that they totally butcher the Reverse Flash and Flashpoint story-line, because the cause of Barry death mother was because the Reverse Flash kill her, not an older version of the Flash.

That why I not very enthusiastic about Superman Legacy, being an original movie or based on the twelve issue comic of the same name, Warner Brothers have no original ideas anymore, and they may want to come back to the idealistic bullshit idea of Superman of the past, I really like Man of Steel, even that I didn't like the military porn in that movie, that was totally unnecessary, but Man of Steel catch the Superman from the comics, he is not an idealise figure that can save everyone, no, he cause a lot of collateral damage every-time that he fight against super villains, in WWIII event, he burn down an entire city with the Justice League, so we need to see Kal - El and Superman as a character, not as some idealistic figure, more now seeing how the "evil" Superman become so popular, maybe because people take off their nostalgia goggles and blinders and began to see that people of that kind of power need to be accountable, some way, is nothing about power, but what you do with it, not matter how good intentions you have.

And can we please make another original pairing for Superman other than Lois Lane or Diana, I really grow tired after reading tons of Superman comics, Marvel is basically the same, the same recycled stories over, and over, and over again with different caveats, they could do something original, but they come back to the old same troupes or pairings, and worse of all, now most movies seems to be made more by corporate mandate, than actually originality, they are very little space for independent movies anymore, even that most of them surpass in originality and actual passion than most corporate movies.

So, not fall for the easy route and blame the resent corporate movies failure on "Star Wars fatigue", "Superhero fatigue" or "Multiverse" fatigue, blame more the corporations for their lack of originality or the fact that they sell out to the military to do blatant propaganda.

The idea of that gamers had pass the scandal of Gamergate with all the misogyny and the xenophobia that come it, it seems that it was only a myth, that gamers pretends that they let pass, pretending to be better people, because as Hogwarts Legacy shows, nothing of that is true, some play in ignorance, because they love the Harry Potter universe and not understand or ignore the problematic issues that it have, other play knowing very well this issues but they not care or they care and twist themselves trying to rationalise why they are playing this game in a universe created by a TERF, full of fascist undertones, some idiots try to call this game include because WB in their desperation added one trans character in the last minute, how inclusive, and other because WB give them sweet, sweet, money to promote and play this game.

But that doesn't change the antisemitic themes of this game, the rumours that WB pay for positive reviews ahead of time prior release, hell, they even say that 800.000 sales and 2.5 millions views on twitch reviews is very successful, when Elden Ring had 2 billions copies sold and I not known how many people play it since the release, is a fake success, built in bribes and the idea that some facts like to say that they are allied of trans people or minorities, but when they really need to actually show it, they back down and have no problems playing a game with fascist undertones, made in a universe created by a TERF, and then call themselves allies because they give their money to charity, like that would fix anything, it wont change the transphobia, it seems that Gamergate is right and well, it didn't die, like many people think, and this game show the length at some people are willing to go justifying playing this game.

I trough that they have some human dignity and compassion, but it seems that I was wrong, and they are bad as Rowling, trying to justified their awful behaviour, and the ironic part is that there are hundreds or thousands other games that they could be playing with magic systems that aren't as insulting as this one, so if you are playing this game, not pretend that you are an ally of Trans people or minorities, that happily ignore the problematic aspects of this game, because some stupid sense of nostalgia, sure, I like Harry Potter, but now at days I focus more in the Fanfictions, some better written than anything that Rowling wrote, and at difference of her books aren't a defence of the status quo, but the status quo of the stories always change, but one thing is reading fanfiction, and other is playing a game with fascist undertones, I that was the case, I would prefer to play The Saboteur or the Sniper Elite V2, III and IV, because killing NAZI is much more fun that being one, because that what basically you are in Hogwart Legacy, not matter if you are straight or trans, if not that the NAZI not have a legacy of gay NAZI, like Ernst Rohm, your gender doesn't matter if your ideology is a justification to exterminating people or caricature of an ethnic group.
